2 Corinthians 3:14-18
[14]But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
[15]But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
[16]Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
[17]Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
[18]But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
The Blindness of Sin, and
The Blind Lead The Blind!
Mat 15:12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
Mat 15:13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
Mat 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
2 Corinthians 4:3-7
[3]But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
[4]In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
[5]For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
[6]For God, who commanded The Light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give The Light of The Knowledge of the Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
[7]But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
Acts 26:18
[18]To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
John 9:29-41
[29]We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.
[30]The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
[31]Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.[32]Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.
[33]If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.
[34]They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
[35]Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
[36]He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
[37]And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
[38]And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
[39]And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
[40]And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
[41]Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
Matthew 13:9-23
[9]Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
[10]And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
[11]He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
[12]For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
[13]Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
[14]And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
[15]For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
[16]But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
[17]For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
[18]Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
[19]When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
[20]But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
[21]Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
[22]He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
[23]But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. John 12:25-50
[25]He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
[26]If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
[27]Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
[28]Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
[29]The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
[30]Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
[31]Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
[32]And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
[33]This he said, signifying what death he should die.
[34]The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
[35]Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
[36]While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
[37]But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
[38]That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
[39]Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
[40]He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
[41]These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
[42]Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
[43]For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
[44]Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
[45]And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
[46]I am come a Light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
[47]And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
[48]He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
[49]For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
[50]And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
Acts 28:24-27
[24]And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.
[25]And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,
[26]Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
[27]For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Ephesians 1:16-19
[16]Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
[17]That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
[18]The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
[19]And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
2 Peter 1:2-12
[2]Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
[3]According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
[4]Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
[5]And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
[6]And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
[7]And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
[8]For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
[9]But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
[10]Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
[11]For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
[12]Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
John 3:15-21
[15]That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
[16]For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[17]For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
[18]He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
[19]And this is the condemnation, That LIGHT is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than Light, because their deeds were evil.
[20]For every one that doeth evil hateth The LIGHT, neither cometh to the LIGHT, lest his deeds should be reproved.
[21]But he that doeth TRUTH cometh to the LIGHT, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
John 8:12
[12]Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I Am The LIGHT of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have The LIGHT of Life.
Ephesians 6:10-18
[10]Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
[11]Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12]For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
[13]Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
[14]Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[15]And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
[16]Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
[17]And take the helmet of salvation, and The Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God:
[18]Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
